Iampelasoamananoro, whose name also appears in the form Iampelamananoro, is a character of the Malagasy epic Ibonia. Her name is often rendered as Gives-Joy or Maiden of grace. Promised to the hero Iboniamasiboniamanoro before her very birth, she is abducted by Ravato, the Stone Man, which sets off the hero's quest. Held captive by her abductor, she is finally freed by Ibonia at the end of several trials and a confrontation with the Stone Man. She is not documented outside the Ibonia cycle, in which she holds the role of the betrothed whose abduction sets the narrative in motion.
