The ROHO ATU mask atelier is a free generator that reveals which spirit of the Afro-diasporic pantheons matches you, and gives it a face. You pick a pantheon on the world map, answer six introspective questions, and a unique sacred mask is forged for you in seconds. Behind each mask stands a real spirit of African folklore and its diasporas, drawn from the ROHO Codex and its 370 spirits documented from academic sources.
This is not a mere personality test: the spirit that chooses you is a character of The Legend of ROHO. The first to incarnate it becomes its Bearer, and the day that spirit appears in a book, it is theirs.

- How does the ROHO mask generator work?
- You first choose a pantheon on the world map, then answer six introspective questions (gaze, speech, brow, breath, listening, assertion). Each answer sculpts part of the mask and steers the choice of spirit. A unique mask is then generated in seconds, revealed on screen and sent by email.
- Is the African mask generator free?
- Yes, it is entirely free and requires no account. All you need is an email address to receive your mask in full resolution. One mask per person, so that each incarnation counts.
- Where do the spirits come from?
- Each spirit comes from the ROHO Codex, an encyclopedia of 370 spirits of the Afro-diasporic pantheons, documented from attested academic sources. They are not inventions: they are real figures of African folklore and its diasporas, from ancient Egypt to Haitian Vodou.
- Is my mask truly unique?
- Yes. Each mask receives a uniqueness signature (an ornament, an engraving rhythm and an aura drawn at random) on top of your answers. Two people who get the same spirit still leave with two visually different masks.
- What is the Circle of Bearers?
- Each spirit of the legend has but one Bearer: the first person to incarnate it. The public registry shows how many spirits have already found their Bearer out of the 370 in the Codex. The day a spirit appears in a book of The Legend of ROHO, it belongs to its Bearer.
- Which African spirit matches me?
- The spirit is chosen along two axes: the element your breath carries (fire, earth, air, water) and what you listen to (the ancestors, your instinct, the spirit world, silence), crossed with the pantheon you picked on the map. That crossing determines which spirit of the Codex awakens for you.
